Genuine Girodisc 2-piece floating rotors for the F8X M3 and M4 — a direct OE replacement that bolts straight on with no modifications. CNC-machined aluminium hats with floating mounting hardware cut unsprung and rotational mass, resist heat-soak and warping, and deliver consistent pedal feel on road and track.

Manufacturer Notes
This application is for M3 and M4 models fitted with the blue calipers and iron rotors. If you have an M2 Competition, see our dedicated front rotors for that application. If your car runs carbon-ceramic brakes, see our direct-replacement iron rotors.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc — no modifications are necessary. The disc bolts directly to the car and works perfectly with the OE calipers. Upgrading to lightweight high-performance replacements, rather than a big brake kit, maintains your factory brake bias as well as your ABS efficiency.
The central hat section is machined from strictly US-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-specification aluminium. The disc ring is Girodisc’s own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined start-to-finish in-house. The rotor uses a curved-vane design — developed in racing — that acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat use a floating mount system with 10 high-strength alloy-steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA and cadmium-plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins carry the braking loads while maintaining controlled axial and radial float between the hat and disc. Anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side allow the disc to grow with heat while eliminating cold rattle, and let the rotor self-centre between the pads. Once the system is in place, simply replace the cast-iron ring when it wears — not the entire assembly.
