The bootmod3 FlexFuel Kit adds live ethanol-content sensing to your BMW, so bootmod3 can
run flex-fuel maps — blending anywhere from pump petrol to E85 and automatically adjusting timing and
fuelling for whatever is actually in the tank. More knock resistance, more power, and no re-flashing
between fill-ups.
Fully plug and play with the factory harness. No cutting, no splicing, and it can be removed without a
trace.
Pick your sensor location — this matters
The kit is sold by chassis and by where the sensor mounts. They are physically different kits,
so choose the one that suits your car and your fuel system:
- OEM Fuel Hat Location Kit — the sensor housing installs into the factory BMW fuel hat
using a custom kink-free Teflon braided line, straight onto the OEM 5/16" or 3/8" feed line. Nothing
visible in the engine bay. Intended for a stock fuel pump and OEM fuel lines — if you have
an upgraded pump or aftermarket lines, this kit may not suit. - Engine Bay Location Kit (PR360) — the sensor mounts in the engine bay instead. This is
the one to choose if your fuel system has been modified, or if you would rather keep the fuel hat
untouched.
Basic vs High Flow
- Basic — standard-flow sensor. Engine Bay location only. Suits
stock-to-mid power builds. - High Flow — larger-flow sensor for higher fuel demand, and the only tier available in
the OEM Fuel Hat location. Choose this for bigger turbo / high-horsepower builds.
