Eliminate the OEM weak point on your B48 Gen 1. Built to hold boost.
Aluminium charge pipe for the Gen 1 BMW B48 2.0L in the F series. The factory plastic pipe between the turbo and the throttle body is a known weak point: it can crack or blow off at stock boost, and tuning only adds load. This replaces it with a permanent metal pipe that still looks factory under the bonnet.
Why it’s built this way
- Aluminium construction, finished in textured black so it sits cleanly in the engine bay.
- CNC-machined turbo flange for a precise, leak-free seal at the turbo end.
- Factory-style quick-connect at the throttle body, so it locks in where the original pipe came out.
- Two-piece design joined by a silicone coupler, so it goes in without pulling the engine bay apart.

Replaces BMW part 13718601683 (factory plastic charge pipe).
Good to know
- Gen 1 only. Not for G series cars (G20, G22, G30 and on), which use the updated B48. If you’re not sure which engine you have, send us your VIN and we’ll confirm.
- 220i / 320i / 420i: check before ordering. Some lower output versions use a rubber charge hose to a front-mounted intercooler instead of the hard plastic pipe. If your car has the rubber hose, this pipe won’t fit. Send us a photo or your VIN and we’ll confirm.
- Not for: pre-LCI N20 cars (320i / 328i / 428i), 3-cylinder B38 models (118i / 218i / 318i), front-wheel-drive-based models with a transverse engine (F45 / F46 / F48 / F39) or MINI.
- Install: bolt-on swap for the factory pipe with hand tools. No tune needed, as it replaces a factory part like for like. Recheck the coupler and T-bolt clamp after the first few drives.
- Warranty: lifetime against manufacturing defect.
